Universal driver module
ACS driver module for the operation of different motor and encoder types, can be configured for a variety of applications. 2 axes, 5 A continuous current per axis possible. 2 motor brakes via PWM brake driver, reduced heat generation of the motor brake. Motion profiles are generated by an external motion controller, e.g. G-910.RC02, and received via EtherCAT. The motion controller must be ordered separately.
Housing types
Available as a benchtop device or a control cabinet module, adapter for mounting on TH-35 top hat rail or on mounting plate is included in the scope of delivery for the control cabinet version.
Encoder
Supports incremental encoders (sine/cosine or RS-422) and absolute encoders (EnDat 2.2 & 2.1, Smart-Abs, Panasonic, BiSS-A/B/C (SSI)). Depending on the application, the encoders can respectively be led to the motor interface or the separate sensor interface.
I/O lines
The digital inputs and outputs can be flexibly configured. For the evaluation of reference switches, digital inputs can alternatively be led to the motor connectors. Depending on the application, the inputs for the limit and reference switches can be configured for 5 V or 24 V and also as PNP or NPN inputs. Position synchronous trigger signals with up to 10Mhz output frequency make a precise process control at high travel velocities possible (position event generator – PEG).
Communication
EtherCAT interface for the integration into an ACS EtherCAT network. Commanding, for example, via the G-910.RC02 motion controller into which an SPiiPlusEC controller + EtherCAT master from ACS is integrated, among others.
Configuration
If the types of positioners used are specified when ordering, all connectors of the G-910.RC01 / G-910.RC03 are suitably preconfigured at delivery. The default configuration, without positioner-specific adjustments, is detailed in the specifications. For subsequent adjustments, please contact our service department.
