PI Ceramic Invests in New Building to Boost Production Capacities
"Construction of the new building has increased our operational area by approx. 7,500 square meters and doubled our cleanroom area.” emphasized Dr. Patrick Pertsch, CEO of PI Ceramic GmbH. He also announced, "As the demand for our products and solutions continues to grow in all markets, we will continue to invest in our premises." In the past decade, PI Ceramic quadrupled its turnover and more than doubled the number of employees to 430. The subsidiary of Physik Instrumente GmbH & Co.KG (PI) not only supplies its parent company with components for piezo systems and piezo motors, but also delivers directly to numerous high-tech industries, from Semiconductor Manufacturing to Medical Technology.
The investments in the PI subsidiary in Lederhose are part of the PI Group's "Maximum On-Time Delivery" initiative. In 2021 and 2022 it has invested a total of more than 63 million euros in expanding the production of components and systems for the markets of Semiconductor Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Photonics and Microscopy & Life Sciences. In 2021 PI increased its turnover by 27 percent and is also expecting significant growth in the current fiscal year.
